Minutes of the Ukiah Valley Democratic Club
11/11/09
The meeting was called to order by Wendy Pollitz at 6:40pm.
In attendance were Wendy Pollitz and Brent Lorenz. Minutes from the 10/28/09 meeting were approved.
Youth Outreach: Wendy and Brent discussed youth outreach for 2010.
Brent will work with new member, Alicia Duke to set up a Young Democrats Club at the college. Brent also made contact with Meredith Randall at the college who said the Dems and/or OFA could have a table at the college. Brent also reported that Jody Steliga is the Health Awareness Counselor at the college and she would be the person to contact if the Club wished to hold a forum on health issues facing young adults. Brent also spoke to Phil Warf, college professor, about having a student internship program for student. Phil referred him to Kathy Lehner, college president.
Internet: Brent was successful posting minutes and agendas to the web site and will continue to help with the web.
Announcements: Estelle Clifton is holding a Barbara Boxer house party November 14 and everyone is welcome. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45pm. No meeting in December. Next meeting has not been scheduled.
